Marion County is larger than the City of Ocala. A search that says only “Ocala” can hide houses in Belleview, Dunnellon, Silver Springs, and unincorporated areas that still use an Ocala mailing address. It can also include houses whose driveway, utilities, and emergency response are county rather than city.
Before you treat two listings as the same kind of purchase, ask which government covers the parcel. City and county differ on utilities, permitting, and sometimes on what you can do with an outbuilding. The property appraiser’s parcel record is the place to confirm the site address, the land use, and the taxing authorities. Do not guess from a listing headline.
William works with buyers across the county through Homerun Realty, LLC. Start with the community pages when you already have a place in mind: Belleview, Dunnellon, and Silver Springs. For a city-focused search, use homes for sale in Ocala.
Acreage that is vacant, without a house you intend to live in, belongs on the land site once that site is live. This page is for residential homes.
